The Skiing Magazine Reader Awards has named Stowe the number one resort in the east for the 2009-2010 winter season.

Looks like Snowshoe Mountain West Virginia is going to have the best ski conditions for Thanksgiving 2008. Snowshoe WV has received 29 inches of snow and a total for the year to date of 38.5, It's only November 17 and the weather pattern does not seam to be changing very fast. Lake affect snows have blown accross the great lakes and dropped south into Appalachian Mountains as far south as Myrtle Beach. Another system following the same pattern as the weekend approaches. Lake affect Snow as also been helping Stowe Vermont  and J Peak with snow pack aswell. Read the rest of this entry »
