Sugarloaf USA Maine Opens For 2009-2010 Ski Season with 12 Inches
November 30th, 2009 by Bill
After a dry spell snow has arrived in the mountains of Maine. Sugarloaf USA recieved 12 inches of the white stuff. Along with snow making the mountain was ready to open.
There was quite a crew of hardcore Sugarloafers hitting the slopes November 29, 2009 even if it was pretty rugged. The guns were running on Upper mountain for most of the day but due to warming temperatures won't be back in action until after 8 at night. The mountain will be open for expert skiers with several more openings including King's Landing, Candyside, Scoot, Windrow and Glancer. Tickets are $25. An Opening Day video is on its way so stay tuned!
The extended forecast looks good for continued snowmaking straight through the week, so expect conditions to improve and terrain to expand.
