There are many resorts in the eastern untited states. In fact the east is where downhill sking began in the USA. When skiers and snowboarders talk about New England and the Northeast Ski Resort they talk about thin trails and tough coditions. What people say about the east is usually based on a particular days or vacation week.
New England has some of the best skiing in the world. Sure it may be cold in December, but so arent Western Ski Resorts that time of year.
