New England Ski Resorts Set For Best Christmas Snow In Years
Everyone has different opinions about the skiing weather in New England. We've all heard the saying it never snows on Cape Cod and March is the best ski month in Vermont and New Hampshire. Throw all that in the trash for Christmas vacation week 2010. Most all ski areas are open and have fresh snow.
New England ski resorts are poised for powder days with system after system arrives from the west then spinning in circles over head. This pattern is typical to those of us who have lived here forever. When these weather systems follow the train from places like Lake Tahoe after dumping 14 feet of snow you would think that would be empty of moisture. Not so, these patterns spin and spin floating out over the Atlantic and re charging the system with sweet powder.
We can predict with some certainty that the weather pattern will continue and we will all be getting some face shots during Christmas vacation weeks.
Some tips if your a little intimidated by Pow Pow. Sit down on your skis and pretend your riding a bicycle pushing down on your downhill ski. When we say sit we don't mean leaning back. Stay centered and and lift up on your toes a little. Another hint is to keep the stance with your polls out in front and reach into each turn.
This is going to be one of the best ski season in years is our prediction so get out their and get some whoosh Pow Pow.
