Thanks for stopping by our site. We at Northeast Ski Zone have been in the ski industry our entire lives. Skiing is our passion. We and my family started skiing in Colorado before I was 5 and moved to New England in the early 1970's.
Now I can honestly say I ski 80+ days a season and have been to just about every ski area in New England and know them intimately.
One goal we have here is to have a page for each and every Ski Resort in the USA and beyond
As a effort to make the site more of a community we will be removing most products on the home page. Why you ask? In the age of web www2 or web 2.0 web users are tired of being blasted with things for sale. So you will just have to go look for it.
As you can see if you have been here before we are rebuilding NORTEAST SKI ZONE. We hope to bring the best up to date information for skiing and snowboarding authority.
To help our quest a Blog has been added and will be updated on a regular basis.
Seeing it's Spring snow removal in The Rockie Mountains is in full swing. At Rockie Mountain National Park snow Removal takes on a whole new meaning. One goal is to have a page for each and every Ski Resort in the USA and beyond.
Please use our search box above to find specific items or the sidebar to browse. You will find thousands of products you know and trust.
With powerful search filters and the power of EBay, Amazon and the most trusted online retailers we have found the largest inventory of New and Used Ski and Snowboard Equipment on the Internet.
Since it's hiking season the focus will be more on outdoor gear for the next several months. But don't forget this is the best time of year to get new ski's snowboards or new boots. Ski shops list the gear from the previous season and slash prices in the off season. Sometimes 80 & 90 %.
Whether your in Steamboat Springs Skiing or New England we have the gear you need.
A page with coupons will be added soon. Coupons have become a great way to save money in the current economy. For now I will be putting the coupons in the footer of the site. Most will update automatically. You can also follow us on twitter at twitter/SKiZone. I have become enthralled with Twitter so follow along. When I hear something about the ski industry a tweet is sent out almost instantly from my phone.
Ya Ya I know the economy doesn't stop us from skiing and getting outside it's in our blood.
One thing we are passionate about around here is saftey. After you spent as much time in the mountains as I do you see some bad things. For me the first bad accident I saw was a guy hitting a tree at Mt Tom when I was very young. Needless to say I am the guy preaching saftey on the chair ride. Every year someone gets hurt or killed skiing. Unfornately its not always the fault of the rider them self it some crazy running into someone. Enough of that. Please read this post Know The Code.
Enough of the serious stuff. Everyone likes ski movies. Most people like free ski movie even more. So A Skiing and Snowboarding Video area has been added. I actually put it up last year but never put a link here. Go check out the Extreme Skiing Video Page
The hiking season is here. Hiking is likely to be the biggest second sport for skiers. Some golf but we are about being in the mountains here.
Some of the most difficult hike are right here in New England. Most other parts of the United State do not realize we have the Green and White Mountains in New England. These Mt ranges are magnificent. Just because they aren't at 10'000 feet mean nothing.
For beginner hikers the south end of the White Mountains has wonderful day hike as the Green does as well.
For more difficult hikes Mt Washington has many routes. Everyone can find a challenge.
A three plus night trip into any mountains in New England can be a rewarding experience. Look for my packing list and favorite gear post coming soon. A 4 night trip is being planned as we chat. Keep your eyes on the blog for hiking reports.
